MARKET NEWS

Highlighted Grower of the Week!

Johnston Family Farm

Johnston Family Farm is a producer of all natural farm fresh raw milk from grass fed pastured cows. The Johnston family has owned and operated the farm since 1940. We produce all of the milk, cheese, and cream here on our farm and we encourage you to come see how we do what we do. Our cows are pastured and have access to fresh grass except for the few hours they are brought up to the barn to be milked. We milk Jerseys, Jersey-Holstein, and Jersey- Holstein-Swedish Red cross breeds and the sires have been picked from bulls that have been genetically tested for the A2 protein. In fact, most of our bulls are dominant A2/A2 carriers so after breeding these bulls for the last 8 years the majority of our cows are A2 carriers.
And his products taste great!

Each week, I want to remind you who our Grower’s are and why they are so special!

We also have Wilderness Family Naturals Coconut Sugar, Flour and Organic Popcorn in the Market for sale! When you come to pick up your order, check them out! They are also now online!

Remember we have Kombucha available! If you are not familiar with it, Kombucha is a naturally fermented tea with natural probiotics! It has been around for centuries originating in Asia. It is said to have healing properties and because it is naturally fermented, is a great support for the digestive system. When your here, ask me for a sample! I’d love your feedback!

WOW! What wonderful weather we’re having! The morning air is crisp and I’ve seen a few leaves changing! I just love Fall!

As I’m sitting here with my morning cup of coffee I’m reminded of our featured Grower of the week….

This is a family business that takes pride and love in each hand roasted batch they produce! I’m hoping to get her out here for Market so you can sample her delicious coffee!

Highlighted Grower of the Week!

JavaGenesis Coffee Roasting is a small batch craft coffee roaster located in Bethlehem, Georgia. Their roast philosophy is to roast each bean to bring out the best characteristics of the coffee. Your coffee will arrive with the roast date on the package so you will know that you are drinking coffee at the peak of freshness. Whether you choose a medium or dark roast coffee, a single origin or blend (coming soon) or regular or decaf this means a great cup of coffee for you! Let them help you “Discover the Fresh Roast Difference!”*_

MARKET NEWS

So many new things are happening at the Market!
We are carrying natural laundry products, jams and are working to bring more items in the coming months! So watch for that!!

I will be reaching out this coming week to those who expressed an interest in purchasing cold expelled coconut oil and fermented cod liver oil. Things for responding!

I’m really enjoying meeting all of you who come and support the Market! In case I haven’t gotten to talk to you except to just fill your order, my name is Cheryl and I’m the “new” kid on the block! I’ve known Pilar for a little while now and came to help out on the Farm this Summer. I’m the “Kombucha Girl” who has helped get a long awaited dream of Pilar’s off the ground! She believes in fermented and nutrient dense foods so this is one of many things we are planning to add to the Market.
I studied and received my certification as health and wellness coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition so the Market is important to me for the health and wellness of all of you!
If you have anything you wish we would carry, please reach out to me and let me know!

We are going to be offering gift baskets for the Holidays! How fun to give someone a basket of yummy natural products to pamper themselves with! We will keep you posted on those!

Look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday!

Grateful for each and every one of you!!

Shop often and eat well!
