MARKET NEWSMORE COOL THINGS
I ran into Ricky from Back River Farm at the Snellville Market Saturday morning and encouraged him to add everything he could list to our market since Leah Lakes and Sylvan Falls Mill is out for a couple months. I see we have
• Butternut Squash (what is your favorite recipe?)
• Okra
• Sungold Tomatoes (awesome! and more orange than gold…)

Other cool things:
• Kombucha By The Bottle – Pilar has been working hard to get her commercial license to sell Kombucha by the bottle through stores and restaurants. We will probably have extra in the cooler when you come for pick-up at market Tuesday, and hope to have free samples available too! Just think, you will soon be able to claim “I knew her when…” when she goes big-time!
• Granola from Dawewood Farms in Mason jars (we recycle for her!)
• Doggie Treats, also from Ellen at Daweood Farm – we even make our furry friends happy at market!
• Chickens (& rabbits) – live chickens and rabbits from Lisa at Bo & Lisa’s. If you would like her to process your rabbit or rooster, please contact her, I’m not sure how that works. If you would like a few laying hens to raise your own fresh eggs, she has them! (If I remember correctly, the minimum one should have in a flock is 3 because they are social animals and do better in a group.)
• Butter & Mozzerella – hopefully everything will go well this week and Russell will have butter and mozzerella again (stockpile folks!). No word yet on flavored butters yet … Russell, if you’re reading this, I’m dieing over here!
• Boston Butt Steaks from Anderson Farm – Uncured ham steaks cut from the Boston Butt- 3/4" thick, 2 per pack, 14- 16 oz. each steak.

Be sure to check the market Monday morning too, in case somebody slips some more delicious things on the listings late tonight! I have heard rumors of slicer tomatoes, spaghetti squash and eggplant coming soon. Fingers crossed!

My best to all -

Shop often and eat well!
