Availability May 17th & Bee Buzz at the Farm

This post expired on May 12, 2014.

Greetings!

What’s the buzz this month at the farm? Plans are underway for Rob Alexander of the Beekeepers Club of Gwinnett County to install beehives here at Rancho Alegre Farm!

This is exciting for several reasons. Beehives will ensure there are plenty of pollinators around for anything we grow on the farm this season. In return, we provide them with a home free from pesticides, herbicides and other toxins which might adversely effect their health. It is important to do all we can for the honeybee and other pollinators. Remember, approximately one third of our nation’s food supply depends on bee pollination! When planning your garden this Spring, don’t forget to plant some flowers for the bees!

Hopefully, we can convince Rob to conduct a few workshops after the hives are installed. I promise to keep you posted!

Attached you will find what is available for you to shop over the weekend and then pick up here at the Farm on Tuesday.

Fresh Wishes,

Pilar and Cheryl
