You can simply place an order on their website, choose us as your drop location (Rancho Alegre Farm), and forward us your confirmation email to grow@ranchoalegrefarm.com.

As with Azure Standard, place your order on their website, click on Buyer’s Club to avoid getting charged shipping, and fill out the shipping address with ours: Rancho Alegre Farm, 2225 Givens Road, Dacula, GA 30019. Also, please forward us your confirmation email with subject line MEM ORDER* to grow@ranchoalegrefarm.com. Pick-up is October 22.

Dear Market Customer,

The air is cool and we’re so excited about this nice fall season. We’ve had a very active market this year so far and it just gets better when all other local farmer’s markets close down for the year and we remain open. Stay tuned for wonderful additions, delicious local produce, and other products through the winter and beyond!

We are now a drop location for Azure Standard. They "specialize in natural, organic, earth-friendly foods and products." You can simply place an order on their website and choose us as your drop location (Rancho Alegre Farm.) We need a total minimum of $1000 in purchases between all market customers, so please place your order on their website and forward us your confirmation email to grow@ranchoalegrefarm.com so we can have a count of the orders as they come in.

I will be hosting a talk on the benefits of essential oils and fermented drinks to heal your digestive system and boost your health. I have a lot of personal experience on the subject and have spent years researching a cure for my husband’s digestive issues. I will be sharing my findings and what’s worked for us.

The class is FREE and it’s right after Farmer’s Market pick-up, so plan on staying afterwards and bring a friend or three!

October 14 is a school holiday and now ALL kids are welcome to join us for our "Fall Into Learning" workshop.

Price is now only $30 per child, down from $55, and we have extended it to 2:30pm instead of 1:30pm so kids will get a full 6 hours of fun at the farm. Moms and dads can go and run some errands or take a break!

This Week at the Farmer’s Market

We have a TWO new vendors! Smokin’ Buns Baked Goodness and Weckback Family Cheese, welcome to Gwinnett Locally Grown! Smokin’ Buns is selling baked goods galore. Now you have tons of choices, in addition to what Sylvan Falls Mill’s delicious items. Both at really good prices!

Weckback Family Cheese has some very interesting varieties of cheese that you must try!

Mother Earth Meats Order Deadline: October 8

Next Tuesday is the last day to order Mother Earth Meats. If you have not heard of MEM products before, they produce ethically-raised meat, including chicken, bison, beef, pork, etc.

Immediate payment is required instead of you paying at pick-up for all MEM orders.

Here’s how to order:

1- Place your order of Mother Earth Meats on their website before October 8.

2- At checkout, fill out the Shipping Address with OUR address as follows: Rancho Alegre Farm, 2225 Givens Road, Dacula, GA 30019. Click on Buyer’s Club so you are not charged shipping! Pay online immediately as you order.

3- Forward us your order confirmation via email with subject line MEM ORDER* to grow@ranchoalegrefarm.com

4- Pick-up your order October 22.

It’s that time of year again! As the weather cools down, bugs will be seeking out areas in homes to come in from the cold.

This week Bo & Lisa’s Lil’ Patch are featuring their Pest Pistol with FREE D.E. (food grade pest control safe for humans and pets) for only $9.75!

Put this around your baseboards, in the outlets, any cracks, window sills, even outside across thresholds… perhaps the attic? 
D.E. is non toxic so pets and small children are safe.  The D.E. included will be enough for 2-3 houses so you’ll get enough to share!

Don’t Forget! Next Tuesday’s Workshop: Herbal Infusions and Tinctures

Our last Herbal Medicine workshop was fantastic! This time, learn the differences between making an infusion and a decoction or a tincture and an extract. We will learn what liquids to use and which parts of the plants to use.

About the instructor:

"My name is Anne-Marie Bilella and I am The Farmer, The Baker and The Medicine-Maker at Bella Vista Farm in Monroe.

I make herbal remedies and teach classes on bread making, herbal medicine and cooking. I LOVE teaching! It is so amazing when you can teach someone a new life skill and see how excited they are when they do it themselves!"

This Week at the Farmer’s Market

Same as last week, this week our vendors are offering in-season vegetables, frozen blueberries, baked goods, raw milk, cheese, eggs, and lots and lots of herbs this week. We also have ferments like kombucha, water kefir, and milk kefir, which will be good to get now in preparation for my talk on October 15 about the benefits of fermented foods and healing your digestive system.

Upcoming Events, Free D.E. with Pistol & More

On Columbus Day, we will be hosting a Children’s Workshop for ALL kids 4-12 on a no-school day. We were originally going to do the workshop for homeschoolers only, but decided to open up this great experience to all kids and do it on a day where everyone can come without missing a school day.

Price was also reduced from $55 to $30 and sibling discounts are available. Click here or the image for more details. We hope many of you will take advantage of this wonderful educational day for kids and share the information with your friends and family.

Mother Earth Meats Pick-Up this Tuesday

If you ordered Mother Earth Meats, you can come pick-up your items this Tuesday from 4:30pm-6:30pm (market hours.) We will also have a freezer full of chicken, whole and many cuts for sale, so if you didn’t get to order but want to get ethically-raised chicken, be sure to ask us when you come for your products Tuesday.
